It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a squad that has won it all.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their hitters to possess a record if not provided the chance.

Ultimately, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy being given a platform to create her newest gem.

The question of whether this latest epic knock topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Many contend the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was much more difficult to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she was the highest scorer, but this performance came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it has been a challenging time because I feel like I lacked timing at all," said Healy.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, out to the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and from there the batsman was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was removed the team required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the confidence to do that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if necessary, we know we can achieve it."

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this success succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing with the discomfort.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have postponed plans to retire, this tournament is anticipated as her last as captain in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as skipper.
